Coldspot: Support & Privacy
Coldspot: Spirit Box & Radar, for iPhone
Support
Need help with Coldspot? Email interactivemedia91@gmail.com. We usually reply within 1–2 days.
Is any of this real?
Coldspot is made for entertainment only. The board's answers, the radar's contacts and the words in the spirit box are generated by the app. It does not detect spirits or any real paranormal activity.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open the iPhone Settings app → your name → Subscriptions → Coldspot. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
I already paid. How do I get Coldspot Pro back?
Open the paywall (for example, tap Unlock) and tap Restore. Use the same Apple Account you bought it with.
Why does Coldspot ask for the microphone?
Only so you can ask the Spirit Board a question aloud. You can always type your question instead.
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 29 October 2026
In short: Coldspot has no accounts, no servers of its own and no analytics. Free users can choose to watch a short video ad for more time; Coldspot Pro has no ads. We do not collect, store or sell any personal information about you.
Microphone and speech recognition
When you tap the microphone, Coldspot listens to your question and turns it into text with Apple's speech recognition, so the board can answer it. When your iPhone can, this happens entirely on the device. Otherwise (for example, when Siri & Dictation is turned off), Apple processes the audio on its servers, under Apple's Privacy Policy. Coldspot does not record or keep your audio, and your questions are never sent to us.
Motion and magnetic sensors
The Spirit Radar and EMF meter read your iPhone's magnetometer and motion sensors. These readings are used on your device only, to animate the instruments, and are never stored or sent anywhere.
Purchases
Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are handled by Apple. We never see your payment details. Coldspot only asks Apple, on your device, whether your Apple Account owns Coldspot Pro.
Data stored on your device
Coldspot keeps a few things on your iPhone so it works the way you left it: your voice and sound settings, the answers and words you have seen recently (so they don't repeat too often), today's free questions, preview time and bonus videos, your ad-consent choice, and whether you have Coldspot Pro. None of it leaves your device. Deleting the app deletes it.
Optional video ads
If you use Coldspot for free, you can choose to watch a short video from Google AdMob to get a few more questions or minutes. When one of these offers appears, the app contacts Google to get a video ready. Google receives your IP address, a device identifier and information about the ads you see, to show and measure the ad, under Google's Privacy Policy. Coldspot does not ask to track you. In the EEA and the UK you are asked for consent before any ad is loaded, and you can change your choice at any time under Ad choices on the Unlock screen. Coldspot Pro never loads ads.
Sharing and tracking
Coldspot contains no analytics. The only third-party code is Google AdMob, used only for the optional videos above. Coldspot does not track you across apps or websites.
To count subscriptions, renewals and cancellations, Apple sends us a record of each purchase (the product, date, country and status, for example a renewal or a cancellation). We process these records with RevenueCat. They contain no name, email address or payment details, and the app itself doesn't send anything to RevenueCat.
Children
Coldspot does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
